Due to popular demand, here is the list of our Monday night road rides with corresponding directions. Please feel free to print them out and take them with you on your ride. We did our best to make sure that the directions are correct. However, mistakes do happen so if something doesn't make sense, please feel free to let us know so we can make the appropriate changes. Please note that all rides start at the back of our shop as a point of reference.
Guilford Lake Loop Extended (~20 mi)
Ride Notes: Relatively flat, easy ride.
Ride Notes: Approx 22mi. Lots of hilly parts in Portland. Climbs are rewarded with leg-recovering descents.
Ride Notes: Fun ride through Middlfield, a bit of Wallingford and Durham.
Ride Notes: Same fun ride as the 'easy' loop with a challenging hill climb thrown in to mix things up.
Ride Notes: A good mix of hills, descents and flats. Nothing terribly challenging. A good, quick 20mi loop.
Ride Notes: Flat and fast ride.
Ride Notes: This is the extended version of the flat Guilford Lake Loop. The extended version adds some climbing if you're bored with the flats!
Notes: You get the flat, fast part in the beginning, hills thrown in the middle, and relatively flat and fast going home.
Ride Notes: Research Parkway is a great road for working together in a fast paceline or time-trialing your tail off.
Ride Notes: A classic Pedal Power ride.
Ride Notes: A little climbing with a wickedly fast (if you work for it) downhill.
Ride Notes: 39.6mi with 3000+feet of vertical climbing
Ride Notes: Our longest ride of the season. Climb some hills (as the ride's name suggests).
Ride Notes: More hills added to the beginning of the Portland Hills Ride makes this a leg burner!
An awesome, scenic, mostly flat (it is CT, so it's not board-flat), 100 miles that winds through CT. There are roughly 7-10mi of busy roads but the rest is on beautiful back roads that are nicely paved. Middletown to Essex to Branford and back. Several bicycle shops and food stops along the way so no need for a sag wagon! Below is the cue sheet. The towns are marked so if you get lost, you can get your bearings a bit better. There is no mileage so keep your eyes peels for signs and landmarks. Have fun! Begin by parking at Xavier High on Millbrook Rd. Key: RT-right LFT-left BR-bear right ST-straight BEC-becomes (T)- T-intersection
Ride Notes: Approx 32mi. Please note, all mileage is approximate. Keep on the look-out for road signs.
